Solar Activity

24 hr Summary: Solar activity was very low. The solar disk was spotless. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed in available imagery.

Forecast: Solar activity is expected to be very low on 10-12 Jan.

Energetic Particles

24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux reached moderate levels and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at background values.

Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to be at normal to moderate levels on 10-12 Jan. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to persist at background levels.

Solar Wind

24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters reflected a nominal environment.

Forecast: Solar wind parameters are likely to undergo weak enhancements in response to an anticipated SSBC followed by influence from a positive polarity CH HSS on 10-11 Jan. Nominal conditions are expected to return for 12 Jan.

Geospace

24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was quiet.

Forecast: The geomagnetic field is likely to reached isolated unsettled conditions on 10-11 Jan in response to an anticipated SSBC followed by influence from a positive polarity CH HSS. Quiet conditions are expected on 12 Jan.
