Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2020 Dec 07 1230 UTC.

Solar Activity

24 hr Summary: Solar activity was at low levels. Region 2790 (S22W09, Hsx/alpha) produced a C1 flare at 06/1327 UTC, the largest of the period. The region remained unchanged through the reporting period. Region 2791 (S15E21, Axx/alpha) was in decay. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed observed in available coronagraph imagery.

Forecast: Solar activity is expected to be very low with a chance of C-class flares on 07-09 Dec.

Energetic Particle

24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux was at normal to moderate levels and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at background levels.

Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to be at normal to moderate levels on 07-09 Dec. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to continue at background levels.

Solar Wind

24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters, as measured by the DSCOVR spacecraft, reflected nominal conditions. Total magnetic field strength was between 1-7 nT and the Bz component briefly reached -5 nT. Solar wind speeds were between 360-440 km/s. Phi angle was predominantly oriented in the positive sector.

Forecast: Solar wind parameters are expected to be at nominal levels on 07-09 Dec.

Geospace

24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was quiet.

Forecast: The geomagnetic field is expected to be mostly quiet on 07-09 Dec.
