Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2020 Oct 15 1230 UTC.

Solar Activity

24 hr Summary: Solar activity was very low and Region 2776 (S12E60, Cro/beta) developed further. Despite its growth, magnetic shear was weak and magnetic strength increase was modest. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed in available coronagraph imagery.

Forecast: Very low solar activity is expected 15-17 Oct, with a slight chance of C-class flares all three days - primarily due to the development trend of Region 2776.

Energetic Particle

24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux was normal to moderate and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux remained at background values.

Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to be normal to moderate 15-17 Oct, while the greater than 10 MeV proton flux continues at background.

Solar Wind

24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters were indicative of a slow regime. Total IMF strength ranged primarily from 2 to 4 nT and the Bz component underwent weak deviations. Solar wind speed was mostly 260-280 km/s and the phi angle was negative.

Forecast: A slow solar wind regime is anticipated to continue 15-17 Oct.

Geospace

24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was quiet.

Forecast: The geomagnetic field is expected to remain quiet 15-17 Oct.
