Solar Activity

24 hr Summary: Solar activity remained very low. No spots were observed on the visible disk. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed in available imagery.

Forecast: Solar activity is expected to be very low on 08-10 Jan.

Energetic Particles

24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux reached moderate levels and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at background values.

Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to be at normal to moderate levels on 08-10 Jan. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to persist at background levels.

Solar Wind

24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters reflected a nominal environment.

Forecast: Solar wind parameters are likely to continue at nominal levels over 08-09 Jan. Weak SSBC enhancements followed by influence from a positive polarity CH HSS are likely on 10 Jan.

Geospace

24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was quiet.

Forecast: The geomagnetic field is likely to continue at quiet levels over 08-09 Jan. Isolated unsettled conditions are likely on 10 Jan in response to a SSBC followed by influence from a positive polarity CH HSS.
