Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2020 Mar 09 1230 UTC.

Solar Activity

24 hr Summary: Solar activity was very low. Region 2758 (S30E16, Hro/alpha) transitioned to a magnetic classification of alpha after its trailer spot decayed. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed in available coronagraph imagery.

Forecast: Very low solar activity is expected to continue 09-11 Mar.

Energetic Particle

24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux was normal to moderate and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux remained at background values.

Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to continue at normal to moderate levels 09-11 Mar and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to remain at background.

Solar Wind

24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters, as measured by the DSCOVR spacecraft, reflected near-background conditions. Total magnetic field strength ranged from 1-7 nT. No significant periods of negative Bz were observed. Solar wind speeds were between 329-375 km/s. Phi angle was positive positive for most of the day.

Forecast: A slow regime is expected to continue on 09 Mar. An enhancement in solar wind parameters is likely on 10-11 Mar due to a probable connection with a weak, negative polarity CH HSS.

Geospace

24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was quiet.

Forecast: The geomagnetic field is expected to be primarily quiet on 09 Mar. Unsettled conditions are likely on 10-11 Mar due to the anticipated influence of a CH HSS.
