Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2018 Jul 01 1230 UTC.

Solar Activity

24 hr Summary: Solar activity was very low. The visible disk remained spotless and no reportable events were observed this period. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed in available coronagraph imagery.

Forecast: Solar activity is expected to continue at very low levels for 01-03 Jul.

Energetic Particle

24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux reached high levels with a peak flux of 5,197 pfu observed at 30/2000 UTC. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux was steady at background levels.

Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to reach high levels on 01-03 Jul and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to persist at background levels.

Solar Wind

24 hr Summary: A decreasing trend was observed in solar wind parameters over the period. Solar wind speed declined from a peak of approximately 495 km/s to near 390 km/s while total field decreased from 5 nT to 2 nT. Phi angle was oriented in a negative (towards) solar sector.

Forecast: The near-Earth solar wind environment is expected to become slightly enhanced on 02 Jul due to the influence of a negative polarity CH HSS. A decrease to near-background conditions is expected over the course of 03 Jul as CH HSS influence subsides and a nominal solar wind regime prevails.

Geospace

24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was quiet.

Forecast: Mostly quiet conditions are expected through the rest of 01 Jul. Quiet to unsettled levels are expected on 02 Jul due to the influence of a weak negative polarity CH HSS. Quiet conditions are expected to return on 03 Jul under a nominal solar wind regime.
