Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2018 Jul 05 1230 UTC.

Solar Activity

24 hr Summary: Solar activity was very low. There were no sunspots on the visible disk.

There was a filament eruption centered near N12E11 at approximately 05/0100Z. However, we await updated coronagraph imagery to determine if if the ejecta is Earth-directed.

Forecast: Solar activity is expected to remain at very low levels for the next three days (05-07 Jul).

Energetic Particle

24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux reached high levels again this period. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux was steady at background levels this period.

Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to reach high levels each of the next three days (05-07 Jul), with a chance of decreasing to moderate levels by day three (07 Jul). The greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to persist at background levels throughout the forecast period.

Solar Wind

24 hr Summary: The solar wind environment was at background levels until near 05/1100Z, when a possible SSBC caused enhancements. Solar wind speeds increased from 300 to 350 km/s. Total field increased from 5 to 10 nT and Bz became southward near -9 nT. The phi angle was mostly positive but started to deviate in a negative direction just prior to the aforementioned enhancements.

Forecast: Solar wind parameters are expected to persist at background levels for the next three days (05-07 Jul).

Geospace

24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was quiet.

Forecast: Quiet conditions are expected for the next three days (05-07 Jul).
