Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2019 Dec 17 1230 UTC.

Solar Activity

24 hr Summary: Solar activity was very low. The visible disk was spotless. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed in available satellite imagery.

Forecast: Solar activity is expected to be at very low levels on 17-19 Dec.

Energetic Particles

24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux was at normal levels, and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at background levels.

Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to be at normal to moderate levels on 17-19 Dec. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to persist at background levels throughout the period.

Solar Wind

24 hr Summary: The solar wind environment was mostly at background levels. The solar wind decreased over the course of the period, ending around 350 k/s. Total field was less than 5 nT, and Bz was unremarkable. Phi was negative.

Forecast: Solar wind parameters are expected to remain at nominal levels on 17 Dec. Enhanced conditions are anticipated on 18-19 Dec due to the expected arrival of a recurrent CH HSS (positive polarity).

Geospace

24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was quiet.

Forecast: The geomagnetic field is expected to be mostly quiet on 17 Dec. A recurrent CH HSS (positive polarity) is expected to bring unsettled to active conditions on 18-19 Dec.
