Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2020 Nov 17 1230 UTC.

Solar Activity

24 hr Summary: Solar activity was very low under a spotless visible disk. Region 2782 (S31, L=156) remained an area of plage. A new unnumbered area of enhanced plage rotated into view near the SE limb. No Earth-directed CMEs were detected in available satellite imagery.

Forecast: Solar activity is expected to continue at very low levels over 17-19 Nov.

Energetic Particle

24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux was normal to moderate and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux was steady at background levels.

Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to be normal to moderate over 17-19 Nov and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to persist at background levels.

Solar Wind

24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters were indicative of a background solar wind regime. Solar wind speed averaged near 320 km/s, total field strength was at or below 5 nT, and the Bz component was near neutral. Phi angle was mostly oriented in a negative (towards) solar sector, with brief osculations into the positive sector near the end of the period.

Forecast: Solar wind parameters are expected to persist at background levels over 17-19 Nov.

Geospace

24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was quiet.

Forecast: The geomagnetic field is expected to be mostly quiet over 17-19 Nov.
