Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2019 Jan 01 1230 UTC.

Solar Activity

24 hr Summary: Solar activity was very low. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed in available coronagraph imagery.

Forecast: Solar activity is expected to remain at very low levels on 01-03 Jan.

Energetic Particle

24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux reached high levels with a peak flux of 2,020 pfu observed at 31/1930 UTC. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux was steady at background levels.

Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to be at normal to moderate levels, and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to persist at background levels 01-03 Jan.

Solar Wind

24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters remained slightly enhanced under continued, but weakening (+)CH HSS influence.

Forecast: Solar wind parameters are expected to decrease to near-background levels on 01-03 Jan as CH HSS influence subsides.

Geospace

24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was quiet to unsettled this period as (+)CH HSS influence weakened.

Forecast: Mostly quiet conditions are expected on 01-03 Jan, with possible isolated unsettled periods on 01 Jan, as waning (+)CH influence persists.
