Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2018 Mar 12 1230 UTC.

Solar Activity

24 hr Summary: Solar activity was very low. The solar disk remained spotless. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed in available satellite imagery.

Forecast: Solar activity is expected to be very low throughout the forecast period (12-14 Mar).

Energetic Particles

24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux was at normal levels and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux remained at background levels.

Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to be at normal to moderate levels throughout the forecast period (12-14 Mar). The greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to continue at background levels.

Solar Wind

24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters, as measured by the DSCOVR spacecraft, indicated mostly nominal conditions. Total field remained below 5 nT and no significant period of southward Bz was observed. Solar wind speeds were mostly between 350-450 km/s, with values trending around 400 km/s near the end of the period. Phi was predominantly oriented in the positive sector.

Forecast: Ambient solar wind conditions is expected on days one and two (12-13 Mar). Late on day three (14 Mar), a solar wind enhancement is expected due to a recurrent, negative polarity CIR/CH HSS.

Geospace

24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was quiet.

Forecast: The geomagnetic field is expected to be at mostly quiet levels on days one and two (12-13 Mar) under a nominal solar wind regime. Quiet to active conditions are expected late on day three (14 Mar) due to the anticipated onset of a recurrent, negative polarity CIR/CH HSS.
